A traditional worshipping congregation close to the town centre but at the heart of its community; accommodating uniformed organisations, charity groups and a pre-school group. Sundays we have a traditional service at 10.30am; six times a year we have a Parade service to which our uniformed groups are invited, and those services seek to be more interactive and may include crafts, multi-media presentations and a more contemporary worship style. We strive to be a justice seeking and inclusive church, though have not yet wrestled with whether we should register the building for same-sex marriages.
The congregation is made up mostly of retired people, there are no children or young people, except for the uniformed organisations, we have a regular Ladies Guild, fellowship and study group. Other activities include a Lent study group, which this year saw Soup Lunches alongside study and crafts. There is a coffee morning every Saturday. We host the Community Choir every Tuesday at 6:30pm, which is well attended and a strong outreach into the community. This is also the hub of Baby Basics in Hinckley.
