We usually hold a worship service each Sunday morning at 10.30am. The service may be led by our minister, Rev Andrew Lomax, our Community Pastor, Malcolm Lapper, one of the Local Preachers in our circuit or by the members of the congregation. There is a mix of styles of worship but it is friendly and welcoming with hymns and songs, prayers and usually a sermon, talk or meditation.
At the same time, we have Junior church for the children and young people.
Details of services are found on the 'What's on' and 'news' sections of the website.
We meet together to celebrate Holy Communion (or The Lord's Supper) once each month. Holy Communion is a sacred act; a special celebration of God's love and grace for each one of us. All are welcome to come and take part by sharing bread and wine as we recognise these signs of Christ's body and blood given for us.
Visitors to our church, including children of all ages, are especially honoured guests at Holy Communion.
If you love God or want to know him more, then Communion is a way we can express devotion and accept His forgiveness and blessing. It can be a spiritual and an emotional experience as God invites us all to share in His feast and to know His love.
If you wish to share in Holy Communion, you will be invited to come to the front where you can stand or kneel. If you wish to receive the bread and wine simply put your hands out. If you come forward but do not wish to receive the bread and wine, just keep your hands by your side and a prayer of blessing will be said for you.
On a practical note, all the bread is gluten-free and the wine is non-alcoholic.
Just let someone know – either the duty steward, the minister or anyone who looks like they come regularly! The bread and wine will be brought to you – this is never a problem.
Whatever you make of the service, remember:
you will always be very welcome here.
